Main Uses

The fire-proof oil containment boom not only has the function of intercepting oil spill on the water surface, but also has the functions of fire resistance and fire prevention, just like the general oil containment boom. It can prevent the drift of oil spill and the expansion of fire area under the harsh environment of oil spill and fire burning on the water surface, create good conditions for fire extinguishing and preventing oil spill pollution, and can be used repeatedly.

Structure

The fire-proof oil containment boom consists of four parts: float, fire-proof connecting piece, underwater skirt body and joint.
1. Float: Made of special heat-resistant materials, it has excellent fire resistance and can burn for not less than 30 minutes in a flame of 1000 ℃. The float adopts a special structure, which has good stability and will not be damaged when heated.
2. Fire-proof connecting piece: It is composed of refractory materials and reinforcing materials. It has excellent fire-resistant performance and can withstand certain pulling force. The connecting piece is designed as a replacement structure, which can replace the mechanically damaged part after fire, so as to achieve the purpose of using the fire-proof oil containment boom for many times.
3. Underwater skirt body: It consists of special high-strength double-sided coated plastic cloth and counterweight chain. The skirt body is sewn with high-strength nylon belt as the tension-resistant component of the fire-proof oil containment boom.
4. Joint: The hook joint is adopted, which has the characteristics of fast and simple connection and can bear the pulling force between the oil containment boom units. Anchor mount is fixed on that pressure plate part of the joint. The joints at both ends of each unit oil containment boom are connected by steel wire ropes to strengthen the overall pulling force.
